Women's volleyball drops KCAC Quarterfinal match against Tabor, 3-0

Hillsboro, Kan. – McPherson could not continue their run in the KCAC postseason run Tuesday evening as the Tabor College Blue Jays swept them 25-17, 25-13, 25-14.

McPherson (8-20) did not have anyone reach double digits in kills as the team was limited to a .021 hitting percentage. Senior Dana Gordon led the way with eight kills, while posting a match-high .125 hitting percentage. Sophomores Brooke Wedel and Savannah Sievers each added nine digs.

McPherson traded blows with the Blue Jays throughout the first set before Tabor was able to take advantage on some McPherson miscues. The Bulldogs dropped set one 17-25.

After dropping set one, the McPherson offensive attack never got going, hitting .043 and -.068 in the next two sets. The Bulldogs dropped set two 13-25 and set three by a count of 14-25.

McPherson ended the season with an 8-20 overall mark and 6-12 in KCAC play.
