Salina, Kan. – The McPherson College volleyball team was selected seventh in a recent vote by the conference coaches at the annual KCAC Sport Management Conference held in Salina on Tuesday.
Defending champion, Tabor College received 78 points, including seven first place votes to edge Friends University for the top spot. The Falcons were picked second with 75 points, while Bethel College (64), Ottawa University (49) and Kansas Wesleyan University (39) rounded out the top five.
McPherson closed its 2009 season with an 8-20 record and a 6-12 mark in conference play. The Bulldogs broke a four match winless streak with a 3-1 victory against Southwestern College in the first round of the KCAC tournament. MC’s season ended against Tabor College, 3-0, in the next round.
The Bulldogs open the 2010 season on Friday, Sept. 3 at the Sterling College Invitational.
