Keil-Long Inks with McPherson College Tennis

McPherson, Kan. – McPherson College head tennis coach Jeff Benito announced today the recent signing of Torsten Keil-Long of Claremont, Calif. for the upcoming 2012 spring season.
 
Keil-Long joins the Bulldogs following one year of competition at Cypress College. While with the Chargers, he finished the season with a 20-4 singles record and won Cypress College’s first California State Championship for individual doubles.
 
Keil-Long played prep tennis at Claremont High School in Claremont, Calif. During his tenure with the Wolfpack, he was named all-conference four times and posted a 126-9 record in all competitions, including a 60-0 mark in league play. He reached the semifinals of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) tournament as a sophomore, before playing a key role in Claremont’s CIF team championship his senior season. Additionally, he was an academic all-conference award winner.
 
Keil-Long is the son of Manfred Keil and Victorio Long. He plans to pursue a degree in psychology at MC.
