Kansas City, Mo. – McPherson College’s senior middle hitter Kory Hiebert (Goessel, Kan.) added another postseason honor to her resume after being named to the 2011 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Honorable Mention All-American Team, announced Monday afternoon by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Hiebert, a 6-2 native of Goessel, Kan., was named earlier this fall to her second consecutive All-KCAC first team, while also earning a spot on the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete team. She led McPherson and ranked 28th nationally with a .340 hitting percentage, while averaging 2.9 kills per set (309 total kills) in 30 matches this season. In addition to her offense, Hiebert ranked fifth in the NAIA in blocks per set (1.38) and 16th in total blocks (146).

This marks the first All-American award for Hiebert who was one of three Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes named to the squad. Other KCAC representatives were Tina Frick of Tabor College (third team) and Leah Keller of Kansas Wesleyan University (honorable mention).

The Bulldogs finished the 2011 season with a 12-18 overall record and 8-10 mark in conference play.
