McPherson, Kan. – With rain on the horizon, the tennis matches between McPherson College and Bethany College have been moved to April 23rd. As both teams should win out for the rest of the season, the heavily anticipated men’s match will be a battle between No. 6 Swedes and No. 18 Bulldogs for the KCAC Regular Season Championship.
Bulldog tennis is currently 21-6 this season and has dispatched their adversaries relatively easy; their losses have come to either top NAIA foes or NCAA opponents. They are led by sophomore transfer Rafael Bulnes (Rosmalen, Netherlands) who is ranked in the NAIA’s top-20.
The Mac women haven’t had as successful of a season, posting a record of 0-8 thus far. Kara Wright (Wichita, Kan.) has been the leading lady for MC and is coming off a two-win performance against Southwestern on Monday.
Both squads are scheduled to face Friends University and Missouri Valley College on the 20th; start time is 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (CT), respectively.
